P.E.A.C.E. Humane is a humane education program through the charity People Ensuring Animal Care Exists (P.E.A.C.E.)
At P.E.A.C.E. Humane we promote compassion for all through humane education. We are committed to offering innovative and ethical alternatives that keep animals out of the classroom, as well as providing a variety of resources that teach empathy and respect for animals (human and non-human) and the environment.
Educators, caregivers, and students across Canada will find material by P.E.A.C.E. Humane and other like-minded groups.
Resource Highlight
Canadian farm sanctuaries are young but fast growing in the non-profit space, promoting a great opportunity for educational tours to increase public awareness on animal care and welfare/protection. These programs and lesson plans have been created by P.E.A.C.E. Humane to support farm sanctuary operators, humane educators, parents, and teachers through the process of bringing young people to sanctuary.
Check Out The Chick It Out App!
P.E.A.C.E. Humane created the Chick It Out™️ App to offer an educational, affordable (and adorable!), humane alternative to live egg hatching in classrooms and homes, while ensuring no lives are harmed for your classroom or home learning experience.

Classroom Presentations & School Curriculum
We have many resources available on our website for teachers and parents, which includes a list of organizations that offer in classroom and online presentations, as well as free school curriculum. Our personal favourite for elementary-aged children is Farm Sanctuary, who has won an award for their humane program, and offer free access to many pre-recorded presentations online!
